About Us

‘At the Well’ is a band, but we are not just about the music. We feel that the message that is behind the song is the important element in what we do.

Or goal is to live our lives so that our message speaks for itself. To be the kind of people that other will look at and want to listen to what we have to say.

Rectangle 1 + SReligion That Binds:

Too often religious viewpoints are more divisive than inclusive. Even among people who, on paper, share the same faith, controversy over details of doctrine, adherence to or avoidance of tradition or outward trappings of the religious experience can cause a breakdown in what could otherwise be a powerful force for good and unity in the world.

Too many times fear, pride, selfishness and greed come between what religions can be and what it ultimately falls into, bringing despair instead of hope, division instead of communion.

We Are Not Religious Experts:

We are musicians, with a particular religious world view. Yes, we do study our doctrines and scriptures, but we are not experts in the aspects of our religion. But we do try to present what we know, what we believe, and what we hope for in a positive light through our music.

So don’t expect any scholarly response to comments or criticisms posted in the comments section. We are travelers here, just like you, and while we may have some of the answers, there is still a lot that we need to learn.

We do include links to some resources which we have found to be helpful in addressing the difficult questions, which we encourage you to take advantage of.

Our Working Schedule:

Even though our concert ticket and download sales are up, making a living in music is hard, and we are not yet at the place where we can play and tour 12 months out of the year and still make ends meet. Our tour and performance schedules begin in January and continue on through September. After that, we all find seasonal jobs to help pay the bills. We encourage you to continue to buy our singles and albums and hopefully we can add more months onto our play schedule.

Our Podcast:

New for next year is a podcast featuring songs we are working on as well as workshops with tips for worship leaders and religious bands who are trying to make a go of it in the religious music scene. We are also trying to get additional venues operating in the Pittsburgh area as well as neighboring states. Anyone wishing to help with this effort is welcome to join in.

Church Performances:

Naturally, if you would like our group to perform at your Church Service or other function, we would be happy to work you into our schedule. Just click on the Bookings link to see details and to request a date. While we are willing to travel, we do like to group our bookings to minimize travel expenses.

We hope that our web site will help you to connect with our band and our message.
